Options on offer for commercial electric radiant heat

Sometimes the problem these days when we are looking to buy some item or other is not lack of choice. The problem is often too much choice! So it seems with heating systems in general - choices of fuel, type of heat, look, placement and performance of the unit. Electricity is for many the only choice however, so what are the option within the commercial electric radiant heat market?

A popular modern option is to install some kind of in floor radiant heat floor covering. This is generally acknowledged to be a really luxurious type of heating, though it is not that expensive. It is good for tiles and stockinged feet in particular!

There are various wall hanging type units and this can be simply electrical elements that simply radiate or with some blown air function as well. Often ceramic electric radiant heat offers a more cost effective alternative to these systems, particularly if your current system is not so new.

Another nice option - because it is efficient and compact - is electric baseboard heat. This has all the advantages of the radiated heat (clean air, even heating around the room) without the installation of underfloor or the ugliness of wall hangers.

However, all these systems can be right in a particular setting, so it is a matter of picking a system that is right for your particular needs.
