The American hayward swimming pool heaters company is now (as Hayward Industries) and international group with 1,500 employees. Their products are being enjoyed by pool owners in Australia and Europe, besides North America.
The company can be traced back to the work in 1923 of the founder Irving M Hayward who worked on valves and products designed for flow control. The company has changed a lot since then, but maintains a reputation for innovation and design. In fact the company did not make an entry into the pool market until the mid sixties.
