There are times when electric wall heaters are exactly the right choice for a home. They are not likely to be cheapest type of radiant heat system for any home, but for smaller homes that might not be such a big deal.
Those with a high heating need - very cold area and a big house - will probably want to look at one of the systems that have cheaper running costs - featuring oil or gas central heating boilers perhaps. They must accept that there will be some installation costs and a certain amount of mess caused when the system is fitted, but it will be worth it.
But if the need is smaller it is quite possible that it will take a while to recoup the initial outlay, so electric radiant heat panels might be a smart answer. The wall hung units perform much better than space heaters and take advantage of many heat saving technologies to get the best from the electricity they use.
In fact in some homes electric heating systems might be the only choice - typically in residential blocks with a central furnace and without natural gas. In this case going for a radiating heat system that hangs on the wall is probably the best option.
